This course prepares the student to become a versatile rap singer and background rap singer (a.k.a. “Hype man”) and gives an overview of rap history. Emphasis is placed on articulation, syncopation, breathing technique, microphone technique, enunciation, flow rhythms, emotional delivery, vocal timbres, vocal center, character dynamics, animation, live performance techniques and group sound.
